I grew up in Kent and qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2012. I joined this practice shortly afterwards and have continued to pursue my interest in advanced dentistry ever since. At home I have my two cats, Optimus and Furiosa, who enjoy living in the countryside as much as I do.

After working as an RVN for two years I decided I wanted to take the next step to be a qualified vet. After a few years experience in other practices I joined this practice in September 2022, which is great as I live locally with my 4 cats and baby boy.

I studied and qualified as an RVN at the practice back in 2019. I was more than happy to move up to the area from Northamptonshire. I have gone on to rescue two dogs locally called Alfie and Peggy.

I have been at covering at the practice since July 2022. I really enjoy the challenge of a busy practice and have been doing so since I joined the veterinary industry in 2010. I have my feline certificate which comes in handy with 4 cats at home.

Whilst I appreciate it’s a “surgery” the new renovation is very clinical and uninviting. The old style was much warmer and friendlier. The staff and service however is still excellent

Absolutely disgusted!! My dog had being unwell Friday night not eating takes her to medi vet Saturday morning they takes her bloods says she’s fine nothing wrong with her and looks healthy she hadn’t ate for days!! they give her a nausea injection, £160 pounds bill!! To be seen and have a nausea injection! Saturday afternoon she rapidly went down hill, Sunday she still wasn’t eating n she stopped drinking I took her to PDSA In Gateshead asap they feel her stomach and take her bloods to find and has a tumour and is in so much pain🤬 Sadly my girl had to be put to sleep a few hours later I am disgusted at how the vets missed diagnosis and had my girl suffering in serve pain for days telling us she’s fine, they don’t examine properly miss diagnosis and drain your pockets, disgusting and leaving our family heart broken !!

I was recommended Medivet by a friend and I’m so pleased with the level of care my cat Tabitha received. After my previous vet told me numerous times nothing was wrong with Tabitha I knew I needed a second option. I booked an appointment at Medivet and within minutes of examining her the vet could feel swelling and ordered an x-ray, from which Tabitha was seen to have hip dysplasia and an issue with her knee. We were referred to a surgeon and since then Tabitha has undergone surgery on her knee and is back to her happy self. I can’t thank the team enough for not only taking my concerns seriously but being able to identify the issue and quickly referring us to a surgeon (we used Bridge Referrals who are fantastic). Thank you again, Ashley & Tabitha

I highly recommend this vets, they actually care about your animal. I’ve tried a few different practices and Medivet Washington is streets ahead of the rest. They have a really nice reception team, and the vets are thorough and personable.
