  • Ultrasounds

Since September 2022 we have had an ultrasound machine. This means we are able to perform abdominal and heart scans in practice. Both our Vets, Jess and Vivi and our Vet Nurse Liz are able to scan.

  • Virtual Veterinary Specialist

Since January 2024 we have a referral level specialist who will virtually guide and interpret heart and abdominal scans. Previously we would have to transport our patients to our hospital. Now we can do this from the comfort of our practice.

  • Nurse Consults

We have Ellie, our consulting nurse, who is able to give 2nd vaccinations, express anal glands and nail clips. Ellie is also our hypertension ambassador, who enjoys educating clients on preventative care.

I had the worst experience of my life when my dog was dying. She could not breath and I did not know what was wrong they said it could be cancer and she needed chemo but when I refused it as she was 13 the vet then told me if I did not have it she would not even administer pain relief I was devastated that they would not treat her at all. I walk out in tears and she died that night. These are the cruelest people I have ever come across and I do not recommend anyone going to this awful sadistict place.

What a most amazing team at Medi Vet Waltham Abbey. Jess has such a talent and has looked after our senior dog so well that he has bounced back into prime health with medication. Thank you Jess for being there. The rest of the team are equally amazing, Liz is super efficient at getting all the medication sorted each month, and our dog loves her, she always has time for a cuddle with the dancing dog! Thank you Medi Vet for bringing our dog back to a good quality of life xx

We took our cat which had a growth on its tooth. We couldn't quite tell what was happening but Medivet suggested two treatments. Operation to remove the tooth which was risky due to his age, or a simpler procedure to shave it back. Both were expensive with the operation around £500! We got a second opinion at another vet. While at that appointment the other vet got a small scraper, and scraped off the tooth and explained it was just a build up, they didn't even charge us. Several years on our cat still has no further teeth issues and still has all its teeth, and never had to undergo the risky operation.

This vet practice is so friendly. The staff are so caring to my doggies and their needs are met in their best interests. I feel listened too and my views and opinions on what my dogs needs are valued, respected and discussed equally to the Vets views and experience, knowledge and professional opinions to make the right decision for them, equally.
