Nose-to-tail health check
We're excited to announce that we're now offering a new nose-to-tail health check, discounted up to 25%. This includes a coat examination, body conditioning check, mobility assessment plus a flea, tick, teeth and ear check. If required your pet can also receive a nail clip. I was very concerned about my dog he had not eaten a thing for 3 days, was very lethargic and generally not himself. I have never in my whole life met a vet so dismissive, no 'bedside manner' and boarding on rude. He made me feel like I needed to make something up to get a prognosis, he kept saying I was being very vague and i'm not giving him anything to work with. He did do a blood test and found my dog had high protein but not high enough to be too concerned. He said i should do a urine sample and bring that in. I took my dog somewhere else as I couldn't face this vet again. As it turned out My dog had leishmaniasis, a very serious condition that is life threatening, whereby dogs are lethargic, no appetite and kidney issues. I'm praying my dog improve.

The vet here is very good and seemed understanding to my situation and very sympathetic when they put my old cat to sleep, all done painlessly and quickly so she would never have suffered. Never the nicest of things to visit a vet for, but they were very good and I can't fault their quick and effective service. On previous visits and going back to when they were Philip Parry Smith they were also a very good vets.

Took my dog for draining of an aroral heamotoma nd my second dog at the same time for kennel cough injection they both caught an intestinal bug from there as they both started pooing blood and sicking up blood that same day They keep fobbing me off with ‘ they haven’t caught it from here’ My girls don’t go out because of there issues apart from back garden so tell me where else they got it from They were both healthy dogs when we left our house and come back poorly!

You do your upmost best to see poorly or injured pets quickly. You have always given me good advice and explained things clearly. The practice always notifies me when our pet's check up and vaccinations are due which is a great help. I called as soon as you opened on Monday 1.3.21 and explained our cat Zula had been injured and you got the vet to see him within half an hour which is amazing. Cat checked and meds perscribed and back home all this within less than an hour. Zula doing really well and taking meds (reluctantly) but can now stretch out his back legs and even jump up onto the window sill. Thank you for a great service.
