I have always had a passion for animals, growing up I had owned all types of pets from cats and dogs to birds of prey and a horse, I had a rescue dog called Ziggy and now I have recently rescued a spaniel called Lucy who is full of love! I joined Medivet in 2021 and began as a receptionist but quickly realised I have a passion for helping care for animals when they are poorly. I began working as a Patient Care Assistant and then became a Student Veterinary nurse in April 2023 working towards my goal of qualifying as a RVN..

I have nothing but admiration and love for the staff at Medivet Stanmore. I was devastated when Magda left but Alex and Jeremy have filled.the gap. We had Jojo a rescue cat with multiple problems , all expertly dealt with and when we had to say goodbye to her the staff were kind, compassionate and caring and they had to deal with me too as I was distraught as any pet owner will understand. Jojo and I spent more time at the vets than anyone would want but we couldn't have wished for better care.

A wonderful, kind and compassionate practice. We loved Magda, she looked after our poorly cat Jojo so well and I was concerned when she left but Alex and Jeremy have filled the gap and Zaynab, Leah and Molly are the most caring nurses imaginable. When we had to say goodbye to Jojo they were all amazing. I will never forget their kindness and love

Magda has finally left this practice, I'd been using another branch for some years since having bad experiences with her competence and attitude. Jeremy an experienced vet has taken over whom I had an appointment with today, all seems good so far. He comes across as very experienced and has a natural love for animals. I'm looking forward to using more of the Stanmore practice in the future.

I am so happy that Jeremy has taken over this practice. Jeremy is an amazing vet. He is a skilled vet and is very knowledgeable and caring. He is also a real people person and I have only had positive experiences with him. He is warm and easy to deal with.

Review of Medi Vet (Stanmore and Watford) It is after a lot of thought and a heavy heart that I am writing this review about Medi Vet Stanmore and Watford. It’s been about a month since our beloved Pomeranian dog, Lalu, tragically passed away under the care of Medi Vet. He was 6 years old. After the initial shock and heartbreak, we have now looked more closely at what happened, and it’s even more devastating to realize that it was preventable by a simple course of antibiotics for the small cut he had on his paw in which a small seed MAY have been embedded. Medi Vet decided to operate on Lalu and he was was sedated with strong drugs that ultimately caused his heart to stop. After consulting with an independent veterinary practice, we learned that the condition he was being treated for did not require surgery. A simple course of antibiotics would have sufficed. What happened to Lalu was completely unnecessary. I now understand that Medi Vet, a franchise, is known for over-treating pets, which feels like it’s motivated purely by financial gain. They seem to prioritize unnecessary treatments to charge more, without considering the well-being of the animals. This review serves as a warning to other pet owners: be EXTREMELY cautious when seeking treatment from Medi Vet. Make sure to consult other professionals before agreeing to any procedures. Losing Lalu was and still is a painful experience, and we hope no other pet owner has to go through what we did. I also kindly ask Medi Vet that you refrain from sending a standard reply to my review. Receiving a generic response asking me to contact reviews email address would feel dismissive and only deepen my disappointment. My intent is not to criticize without purpose, but to encourage meaningful change. I truly hope you can reflect on this feedback and prioritize the well-being of the animals over monetary considerations. This is a matter of genuine care for animals that deserve compassion and responsible treatment
