James Sabin

Partner, Veterinary Surgeon and Ophthalmologist

James graduated from the University of Queensland in 1998 and worked in mixed dairy practice in Australia for five years. He came to England for two years in 2004, met his wife and is still here. James attained membership to the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists through examination in veterinary behaviour in 2012. Due to the growth of the practice he no longer has time to do behavioural consultations but does use the knowledge every day (including with his children). He was awarded a general practitioner certificate in ophthalmology in 2019 and a post graduate certificate in small animal ophthalmology in 2020. James takes on ophthalmic referrals and is able to perform various ophthalmic surgical procedures with our operating microscope. He is also an official controls veterinarian, enabling him to issue animal health certificates and export certificates for pets. When not working, James enjoys spending his time with his wife and two children and on his bike.

Jane told her gran she wanted to be a vet at the age of 6. She feels very lucky that she is a Veterinary Surgeon. She graduated from Cambridge in 2002 and since then has been looking after pets in the South East. She loves seeing puppies and kittens come in for their first practice cuddle but also likes helping creaking joints and giving older pets their spring back. Outside of work Jane is entertained and educated on a daily basis by her 9 year old son and 11 year old daughter.

Chloe currently enjoys the variety and challenges of general practice and is keen to pursue her interest in both dermatology and behavioural medicine in the near future. Chloe is also an official controls veterinarian which means that she can issue animal health certificates and export certificates for pets. At home, Chloe is 'Mum' to a 1-year-old bouncy Dobermann, Arnie, who keeps her on her toes! Kyley Aikenhead

Head Veterinary Nurse

Kyley joined a private family run veterinary practice in 2003 and qualified in 2008. Here she was exposed to a wide variety of cases including pregnancies, cesarians, wildlife, RSPCA court cases and charity work, as well as the lovely routine cases of the practice. Kyley developed a passion for those pets less fortunate and enjoyed many hand rear and critical cases that she nursed at home – ranging from puppies and kittens to ducks, wild birds, hedgehogs and fox cubs. After 7 years as a Head Nurse she left to join Medivet Sidcup in 2014 and loves her role as Head Nurse at this branch. She has watched the branch grow from one vet and three nurses, to four vets (two part-time) and five nurses and a receptionist. She has a great sense of pride in how the practice has developed, and the level of care that all of the staff are passionate to strive for. Outside of work her main focus is her 6 year old son, her rescue dog, her two horses whom she bred 16 years ago and her rescue pony.

Siobhan Fulker

Student Veterinary Nurse

Siobhan Fulker

Student Veterinary Nurse

Siobhan is a student veterinary nurse (SVN). She changed careers a few years ago when she became frustrated with her office job and realised she needed to do something she was truly passionate about. Now she can say choosing this job was the best decision of her life! Alongside her studies (when she has the chance) she enjoys reading, going to the gym and exploring the best spots in London for nice food. She grew up surrounded by dogs - particularly cocker spaniels, so she will be the first to ask for a puppy cuddle if you have a new spaniel in the family! She is focusing on becoming a registered nurse for now so is yet to find her “niche”, but maybe one day could see herself working with wildlife, or in rescue, making a difference where she can.

It’s a great vets , however there is a communication issue over pricing and payments You will be told one thing over the phone and it will then differ when treatment has be completed: Staff was understanding of the confusion not on our side, tried to be helpful however issue was never resolved. Nobody wanted to take ownership of this issue, Further training to members of staff regarding payment details advised
