I joined the practice in August 2020 as a Communications Assistant before qualifying as an Animal Nursing Assistant in March 2023. In the last year I have gained a lot of experience when working with our lovely patients , which I'm sure will support me in my further studies to become an RVN. When I'm not busy working, I love going for long walks with my family including our Border Collier Teyr and Border Terrier Nadder, but love nothing more than a cosy cuddle with my Cat Mowzer.

I joined the Vets in August 2008; and qualified as an RVN in October 2012. I was Head nurse and clinical coach at the practice, until we moved to East Sussex in 2021. I now work remotely doing the insurance claims, answering the phone, booking operations and providing pre operation information for our client's pets. The majority of my role is behind the scenes, but still part of the practice team. In my spare time I love to walk with my Staffy Maggie, we are lucky to have so many lovely walks here as well as of course the beach.

I am originally from a small rural town in Northern Ireland. Here, I worked as a Patient Care Assistant in a veterinary practice for two years before moving to Oxfordshire where I began working with Medivet in 2018 as a mobile Patient Care Assistant. Shortly after this I joined the team in the region's 24-hour hospital, where I began college. I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the summer of 2022. I moved to the Salisbury branch in August 2023 when my partner and myself relocated. I take great pride in my work and in ensuring all patients are comfortable and happy while with us here in practice. I am a pet mum to a beautiful cat, Barnaby, a whippet, Cuba and our other little dog, Poppy, who are spoiled absolutely rotten!

I started working for Medivet in March 2023 and have been working in the industry as a Veterinary Nurse Assistant for 3 years. I am now in my 2nd year of Veterinary nurse training. Before joining the team, I worked at Pet Practice and Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists. I learnt and experienced a lot of eye-opening cases in the 3 years, and gained so much experience when working with poorly patients. My favourite activity is taking my 3 year old Golden Retriever, Ava out for long walks on my days off.

I joined Medivet at the Salisbury branch in October 2023 after graduating as an RVN from Harper Adams University in September 2023. During my time at university I spent a placement year in a busy veterinary hospital in Macclesfield which only furthered my passion for animals and nursing them back to health. I have a big soft spot for senior animals and their care, helping to support them during their retirement years! In my spare time I love to go on long, scenic walks and travel around the UK to see my university friends.

Client Care Assistant

I joined the practice in April of 2024 after recently having moved to Salisbury from Central London. Before moving I worked in a busy vet practice as Senior Client Care Advisor where I built-up experience of working in and knowledge of the Veterinary industry. Back home, I have a family husky called Demon (though he really is an angel) who is the family member I'm keen to see most when I go back. Outside of work, if I'm not visiting Demon, I like to read, venture out on travels or do absolutely nothing.

Very surprised at the negative experiences in other reviews, we've just moved to the area and are delighted with their treatment of our dog. They are the first vets to really get to the bottom of her skin problems, address behavioural symptoms as well as physical and not just prescribe expensive antihistamines! They clearly explained the treatment options and pricing, as well as their reasoning, and were so kind and caring with our nervous rescue.

We have very disappointed by the attention to detail at this practice. When our dog received her rabies jab, it was not correctly recorded and we almost had to cancel our trip to France. Very inefficient and disorganized.

Avoid. Totally different team. Vet we saw treated our pet appallingly. Our beloved cat we’d owned for 19yrs howled with agony at the way she was handled. She had never done this before in her whole life. Took her immediately to another vet who was horrified when we described what had just happened. The set up seems to have one focus - your money. After nearly £1000 of unneeded tests we walked away. From speaking to others it appears the same for them. There was even a lady in the car park, when we were there calling a friend in tears saying she just couldn’t understand why she was being asked to undertake over £800 of tests on her cat. I 100% accept Vets are different these days and there’s a whole new bunch of ways to look after pets but having sat in the waiting room twice for nearly an hour each time we couldn’t believe how many pets being brought in were suddenly being rushed to the back office for urgent tests. How many multi night stay dental appointments were being booked. How many pets were being held back for overnight observations. Every thing seemed to be an expensive emergency or illness requiring multiple tests. The only thing more unbelievable was the vast charges being put through the reception till. Clients looked genuinely shocked. When we were with the vet we noticed his phone calculator was open with a figure on it that was exactly the same as what we’d been charged 2 days earlier. It could have been a pure coincidence but seemed extremely suspicious. The reality is Pet owners will always want the best for their loved ones. This place now seems to want the best for its bottom line. So, so sad.

5 star medical care with 5 star customer care. My dog would not be here today if it weren't for their skill and efforts. This extends beyond the surgical team to the whole staff whose support made a harrowing time more bearable.

I recently took my cat, Seamus, to Midivet, Salisbury. Every member of staff was extremely kind and thoughtful both to Seamus and myself. Every procedure that was carried out was explained to me beforehand; and the procedure was carried out promptly with so much care and compassion. I would highly recommend Medivet, Salisbury. Many thanks to you all.

I was sad to hear that Howard had retired but the new staff are very welcoming and create a lovely warm environment for our pets. Cary?? the Nurse was very caring towards our dog. She was knowledgeable and went out of her way to accommodate us during a very busy day.

Rip off vets with a licence to print money Medivet took over the practice my family has been at for over 40 years and it is no longer somewhere I feel my animals are being cared for genuinely, they are seen as cash converters, today was the final straw. My husband and I pay for the health care plan for both my dog and cat plus we are seen once a month also as our dog has a citapoint injection. I kept getting texts saying I was entitled to a health care check at 6 month intervals rather than yearly and my first thought was it’s just a way of making money out of owners. Over the weekend just gone I noticed a lump on the hind back leg so called medivets to ask if this would be covered on the health check and was advised yes. An ear infection was discovered which is very common for her and the lump was checked and options given, I decided I would keep an eye on said lump and understood a course of antibiotics were needed, maybe I was a little ignorant but to come out of the appointment and be charged 95 when I am due to see the vet in a week anyway I was so shocked, I was expecting to pay for the antibiotics but not 15 pounds for a quick ear clean (this was never the case before!) 48 for a vet consult. I was so upset I walked out, my husband has been unwell with epilepsy and spent time in the hospital, he is self employed so we have been put in a unpredictable situation so unexpected unnecessary bills aren’t needed at the moment. There is no transparency at all, I should have been told that I would get charged for a consultation if there were issues that needed a check as I would have waited a few days. All the original vets and nurses have gone and both receptionists have now walked out, I am now moving to another vets as not prepared to give them any more of my money. They did take the ear clean off my bill and I have settled up and moved to another vets.
