I've been qualified as a vet since 1987 and I've been working here in Oldland common for 30 years So much has changed but human nature never changes- we find deep delight and satisfaction in reliable and functional caring relationships- this is what most of us experience and cherish in our pets, and looking after these individuals medically is deeply satisfying and worthwhile. I have never stopped learning, and always look forward to my day's work. It is a privilege to work with my patients and my staff alongside the clients whose trust we hold so carefully. Good medicine is above all things a team effort and the team includes all staff, owners and of course the patients themselves. I always strive for the best possible outcome and despite the many challenges, it is so satisfying and joyful to achieve this in so many cases

My name is Signe. I have been with the practice since 2021. Before then I lived and worked in the Hertfordshire/Essex area since I qualified in 2004. I am originally from Denmark and I still visit my family there regularly. I previously worked in a mixed practice but I am happier now that I am able to focus on small animals. I particularly enjoy surgery. In my spare time I love to do nature photography, gardening and walking my whippet Willow.

I have worked at Oldland since 1994 and over that time have met some wonderful furry friends and their owners. I have had the pleasure of doing a job that I always wanted to do, and to work with a bunch of great people, it never feels like I’m going to work!! I get great satisfaction of caring for a loved pet during and recovering from operations and also meeting owners on my days that I'm on reception doing insurance claims.

I've been part of the team since 2012. You will see me on reception but most of the time I'm out the back helping the Vets care for your furry family members. Work never stops as when I'm home I care for my family's menagerie including dogs & rabbits! In my spare time I like to bake & explore the outdoors!

I've been working at Oldland Common Vets since 2021, after working in an animal hospital for a short time. I enjoy the daily interactions with all the pets that come in & meeting all the new puppies and kittens visiting for the first time. Outside of work I am also a nail technician, using people's nails as small canvases and love going on trips near and far.

Hi my name is Carole and I have worked at Oldland Common Practice for a year now and its just one of the most enjoyable jobs I have ever done and no two days are ever the same. My interests are going out and about especially in the countryside walking My Gordon Setter Coco and exploring castles and gardens. I enjoy eating out, going to the cinema along with visiting the theatre and music gigs. I try to take up new ventures and my latest is Tai Chi so we will see how that pans out.

I am new to the practice, but feel like I am already part of the family. In my spare time I am a Proud Nanny of 3, my little Grandson, my big fur-baby Meeko and a Tortoise called Trevor. I love to learn new craft skills such as Baking, Painting and Woodcarving etc.

Lovely friendly staff. Receptionist’s call when they say they will. The vet that we saw was extremely caring , knowledgeable & down-to-earth and exactly what we want in a vet. We are new to this practice but we wish that we had been coming to them for years before. I can’t remember the last time I felt my cats were in such competent hands.

Been bringing my pets to this vet for over 20 years. They have always truly cared for my pets and I would never consider going anywhere else. My present canine fur baby loves visiting this vet so much he pulls me all the way there!

As someone that volunteers at the RSPCA I had a problem with my 2 boys fighting (cats both done) needed some input and a health check with the dominant one.... I paid £58 for the vet to weigh him tell me to get felliway or give him up.... appointment was at 6.30pm so I guess they wanted to go home. No gum check no temp check no body check. Literally £58 given away. I feel like I was robbed. Just warning people not to book at this vets past 4pm because you won't get the love and treatment your pets deserve. Pains me to write a review like this on somewhere that saves animals but iv been brewing on this for a few days. My partner has pushed me to write this. Sadly I won't be bringing my cats back here. I'd like to say the receptionists are lovely but it's my animals care/health that matters and I feel I was robbed

Very close to impossible to get hold of anyone on a Saturday afternoon for a health update on a poorly pet. Incompassionate & heartless to the situation

Reception staff very friendly. Only 1st visit so cannot make a full judgement yet until something more demanding crops up. 2nd visit for dog tick & flea tablets. Was charged £54 for a pack of 3. Looked online and found exact same tablets for £19.99. Now found another vet who won't rip me off.

We changed vets as our old vets were not interested or showed any care in my cat. They appeared to be only interested in dogs. We were thrilled and amazed at the due care and attention that we received for our cat. The vet was truly amazing our appt was for booster and check over., she took so much care and attention with our cat and genuinely cared. I have already recommended the practice to friends with cats. I cannot recommend highly enough.Calling all cat owners if you want a vets practice that genuinely cares about your cat and well-being look no further. Truly amazing.
