It was the worst experience I have had so far with vet booking appointments. I called the vet today around 1pm and got appointment today at 5:30. I explained in the phone that dog has not eaten for a day and today either and her is stomach making noises. My partner went there with the sick dog and turned away saying that we don't have appointments!!! I received a text message and because I was at work I could not call immediately. He couldn't see a vet they didn't even offered and got a new appointment for tomorrow. When I got informed about around 6 pm I called the vet immediately. The reception put the phone down on me at first, when I called back and she picked up the phone she knew it was me and apologized for the booking and said they offered my partner to stay and wait if it's urgent. But they didn't!!! It's a lie, she also said I can go to the pet hospital if it's that urgent!!!! What kind of service is that!!!!?????? Seriously???? Most horrendous answered I got back from head nurse that everything was actually my fault and if my dog was feeling that bad I could have gone to the pet hospital. The receptionist was rude and unprofessional and the head nurse didn't any remorse regarding the situation. I'm with neighbourhood vet, I could recommend their service anyone. Penge branch is good, but Dulwich branch is 5 star!!! Stay away from new cross medivet!!!!

Profit comes before animal care at Medivet. Not worth the risk taking your animal here.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my recent experience with Medivet New Cross. I called them seeking guidance on a lost cat we found, as multiple friends recommended speaking to the local vet and we don’t have a cat carrier to bring it to the vet. Unfortunately, I was met with unsympathetic responses from the reception staff, who seemed unwilling to offer any helpful suggestions. After asking several questions, I was bluntly told to “get a box” and then abruptly hung up on with a “bye.” The interaction was frankly rude and disappointing, especially since we were just trying to return a lovely cat to its home.

We loved our experience at Medivet in Newcross. Clean and professional. Vet was extremely helpful and supportive with the right things for my pregnant cat who also had young kittys with her at our visit! (Yes! She’s been busy!) Vet was lovely, and gentle. Ladies at the desk were friendly and amazing too! Gave me great tips and advice. Broke down the health care plan of my cat and her kittys! Would highly recommend.

Avoid. I took my Cat Midnight in for her monthly arthritis injection at 915am on Thursday 12th September 2024. At 1230pm I received a call from the vet to say she received a higher dose than normal (it turns out she was giving 10 times more than she should have) but she should be ok and to monitor her. After this conversation I felt reassured that she would be ok. On Thursday night my daughter noticed she wasn’t herself and when we called Medivet out of hours that evening, again we were told to monitor her. On Friday morning we took her in after she hadn’t improved and we spent the next few days travelling around different Medivets in London with a very ill cat ending up in the RVC in Potters Bar at 1140pm on a Saturday night. It turns out beside the overdose of her arthritis medication the team at the RVC had noticed an abscess on her tail that Medivet had missed on the day of her monthly check. Midnight improved greatly thanks to the team at the RVC and was discharged on Monday 16th September 2024. At that point I had not had a single call from anyone senior at Medivet offering an apology or enquiring as to how she was. I wrote an email to Medivet on the 26th September and received a call on the 30th September (18 days after she had been given the overdose) from their head Vet on the 30th September asking after Midnight and he seemed genuinely concerned. Their corporate robot the practice manager of Medivet at 3 practices called me after 19 days after her over dose saying they are investigating and are looking at compensating me. We spent over £340 on public transport and £390 at our new vets who seemed highly concerned that she had lost weight and this was not picked up Medivet. Midnight is on the mend thank god but Medivet won’t pay for the money I spent on public transport and seem to be picking and choosing what part of the vets bills they wish to pay. The RVC are owed over £2100 which they say Medivet have said they will be paying. At this moment this is currently ongoing and I will update on FB the conclusion when reached.

I visited Medivet Catford in Jan 2024 but I was registered with Medivet New cross at that time. My pet's treatment was amazing in Medivet Catford. I would infact personally want to thank the Vet for her brilliant management. To my surprise, I get an email in July 2024, a whopping 7 months later asking for me to pay outstanding balance. Now, I do understand that there was indeed an outstanding balance. How would I know it unless they tell me? I made the payment at the counter as any customer would, but they forgot to charge me for a test. This clearly shows that it was their mistake. I was happy to make the payment. I never said I wouldn't pay. I had to claim it in the insurance as it's a new charge levied on me after 7 months. Throughout this conversation, the tone was so confronting, the person on phone and on email persistently showed as if I was the one at fault for not paying it. It felt like they were trying to confront me for not making the payment! Expecting an apology for making me go through the payment and insurance again is far away from expectations. The people handling money need to understand that we are not running away with your money. Be civil when you deal with payment issues, especially when it's not customer's fault. BTW, I have made the payment even without proceeding insurance claims for the same. I hope Medivet New cross is happy with their 61£. Sorry for being so rude on the review, but this is how I felt when I spoke to your Debt collectors on phone.

I've always had amazing service at Medivet New Cross, the vets are so kind and thorough in their care and explaining aftercare. The reception staff are lovely and have always gone above and beyond when I've needed help - replying super quickly to emails and booking in last minute appointments. Would definitely recommend them

the worst vet I have ever been to in my entire life. My dog has been unwell for 1 week, I paid £300 for tests that took a week. They couldn't give them to me over the phone and I came personally to the vet and they didn't tell me what was wrong with my dog. I have to keep waiting to find out what's wrong with my dog. It is very frustrating because my dog is sick without knowing what I can do to him and here they just tell me very calmly to keep waiting. I am desperate to know what my dog has so I had to make an appointment that will cost me £50 more than what I have already paid to find out the results of some tests that cost me £300 because they can't tell me and the best way easy is to pay more I am very indignant. I want to emphasize that the employees were never rude but the way the clinic works seems horrible to me
