My family and I recently joined the Lurgan medivet practice, with our cats, and can not thank the Vet Valerie and Nurse Tracy both enough for their care, kindness, and compassion shown towards our eldest girl in her time of need. We were seen in a warm and dignified manner and it was the empathetic send off our girl deserved. We really appreciated Valerie taking the time to explain the process to us, easing our fears of the unknown, having never received the time taken with our cats predecessors, in other vets, when it came to the hard decision of putting her out of her pain. Our girl was special to us and the family circle in so many ways, she is so very missed but it was made easier to say goodbye by the staff in the practice, from the moment we arrived with her, greeted kindly by reception to the end. We will never forget! Thank you all.

Can’t thank Anna and the whole veterinary team at Town Vets enough for their care and attention given to our dog during her recent eye surgeries.

Worst and most unprofessional experience with a vet, took my cat in to treat his infected wounds, just to watch the vet incharge of helping my emi, run off to talk to her coworkers while trapping my cats tail in the door, while also having the absolute audacity to undermine and down talk me for not having the right communication skills (I suffer with disabilities) when I came back after withdrawing the money needed, she tried to enforce euthanasia repeatedly before accepting that I wouldn't consent to it. He is now home after his amputation but I will be taking this far into legal matters for the damages done. I am absolutely appalled at the customer service of this establishment and I am not satisfied with how I was spoken to or how my feline friend was treated. For anyone who has a cat with a skin condition in around the same age 6-19 years, I advise you to avoid the town vet as if it is the bubonic plague. Comparing where he was neutered compared to the town vet, I would whole heartedly choose the previous vet over any of this nonsense. If the wonderful woman who is at fault for my poor emis damages, reads this review, I hope you know that you will hear from a lawyer at some point. Absolutely disgusted. As someone who has been badly affected by your services, I have full right to make any statements I wish to share and I will warn others of these experiences and why they shouldn't choose your establishment.

I think it was a hard transition for the business. But I have to say they went beyond the call of duty for a hamster. Tammy still doing well after a hysterectomy 2 months ago. Reception staff kind and caring. Even though I was distraught at times. Valerie and Paul such caring vets.

Inconsiderate staff, expensive, care free approach, extortionate prices. Finding a dog darting through traffic bring it to the vets to check for a chip while I was met with the most unhelpful staff member letting me know she doesn't know where the chip reader is.. Her advice was to bring the dog home and see if the owner comes forward, wouldn't take hold of the dog as their kennels are for emergencies only.. Then sighed when I asked could she refill the water for the dog get a drink from the empty dish they provide. I personally used this vets for my own animals before it was taken over by medivet and then quickly moved elsewhere, obviously the care of animals doesn't come close to their care for money which doesn't bode well for a veterinary clinic

I'm concerned at the eye watering prices they are charging and will possibly force folk away from being able to afford to have a pet. I wont be able to afford another pet if anything should happen to mine. A 15 minute examination and some drops costing OVER £50 is really expensive.

I DO NOT RECCOMEND Use to be a 5 star vet, but since new ownership 1 star. I'm sure the vets themselves are very knowledgeable but the policy's they have in place I'm guessing are going to be its downfall. I rang months ago about an emergency appointment for my dog who was having explosive bloody diarrhoea to be seen that day and I said on the phone I'll not beable to pay straight away because I hadn't the money for the treatment there and then and I knew it would of cost £70+ to get him seen to as it was the 2nd time this happened to my dog. I was told they can't see him unless I pay for the service upfront and was in shock. I went to another local vet and was seen to straight away and it wasn't as costly which was a extra bonus. The people running this vet are in it for money solely and not for the protection and wellbeing of the animals that are brought here. Its a big conflict of interest and I wouldn't trust them with any diagnosis they tell you because of this. It's illegal In this country for a vet to refuse an emergency aswell I'm pretty sure but I never sought legal advice as another vet was happy to take care of my pup and I hope nobody else is put in the position i was put in and not able to find another vet for an EMERGENCY

This veterinary clinic is less than desirable as there are many things which would encourage one to bring their pets elsewhere. There is poor communication between reception and the vets and what seems to be a general disregard for the animals’ wellbeing, which I have encountered numerous times. It’s genuinely shocking how despicable this surgery is. Many of times my pets have either been fobbed off, or experienced a lot of messing about in terms of appointments or samples. The reception system is generally chaotic. This service is just in it for the capitalisation of vulnerable animals, whilst still managing to do damn all.
