  • BOAS Surgery

BOAS, brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome, is a cause of upper airway obstruction in brachycephalic breeds. The most commonly affected dogs tend to be the smaller short-nose breeds, such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs and Boston Terriers. Signs to look out for include exercise intolerance, gagging and loud noisy breathing. BOAS surgery is routinely performed at Medivet Kensington by our surgeon, VK and aided by nurses who have undertaken additional training in anaesthesia.

Book an appointment with any of the vets to discuss whether your dog would benefit from the procedure.

  • Laparoscopic neutering

Laparoscopic neutering (key hole spay) involves making 2 small incisions to remove the ovaries. There are many studies showing significantly improved recovery times for dogs, with up to 65% less post operative pain. Peter and Tom routinely perform this surgery on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays at the Kensington practice.

  • Nutrition Consult

At Medivet Kensington we offer full nutritional assessments for cats and dogs, all

I called Medivet Kensington when our local Medivet could not see our dog the same day. They offered an appointment within 1 hour of my call and were on time. The veterinarian Emma did a thorough examination of our dog, and reassured us and gave us a clear diagnosis. We felt Medivet Kensington was efficient, friendly and thorough.

The vet had such a loving way with our really nervous GSD that she could sense this and was calm whilst he cleaned her cyst wound in the hallway (he saw her there as she had her head under the chair and thought no one could see her.

I have seen a few different vets here with my Cockapoo. They all clearly love their job and pet clients. They are very approachable and non judgmental about my knowledge/ preferences / questions. My appointment sometimes starts a little late (maybe 10 Mins) but that’s not a problem for me. They have been able to happily advise me when I’ve popped in and I recently had call to use their out of ours service and spoke to a lovely knowledge vet who went through every aspect of my concerns and completely put my mind at ease. My previous vet was the exact opposite so Im glad to have found this one and would highly recommend. Update - my dog just spent 4/5 nights here for an emergency so when I took her back for an appointment this week, I was amazed she was actually pulling me in the door. I thought she might have been concerned about going back : being left, but she walked in super happy and waggy! Had a lovely time in her appointment despite having a couple of biopsies was happy to hang around in reception while I chatted to reception. We were in and out in less than 30 mins. I cannot recommend more highly!

We cannot express enough gratitude to the team at Medivet Kensington - from the reception team to the nurses and the doctors especially Soul, for the exceptional care they provided to our beloved dog. After a disappointing experience at another Medivet Hospital in Beckenham, we were understandably anxious about seeking further treatment at Medivet Hospitals. However, from the moment we arrived at Medivet Kensington, we knew our dog was in the best possible hands. The entire team was incredibly compassionate, professional, and thorough in their approach. They took the time to understand our concerns, carefully reviewed our dog’s medical history, and provided a clear and thoughtful treatment plan. Their attention to detail and genuine care for our pet's well-being was evident in every interaction. The facility is clean, modern and comfortable for the pets. Our dog responded very well to the care and treatment, and we felt completely supported throughout the process receiving updates every day. The staff's dedication to their work and their love for animals truly shines through in everything they do. Thank you, Medivet Kensington, for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience. We are forever grateful for the care and kindness you showed our furry family member 🙏🏼❤️

I cannot be grateful enough to the Team in this Clinic. They saved Rexy’s life at least twice. Rexy loves coming here! She is always dragging me to enter the Clinic. Especially when she is feeling a bit unwell. And always if close by. Obviously, she regards it as a good place to be in! And of course, it is amazing that it is open 24hrs! Thank you!
