  • BOAS Surgery

BOAS, brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome, is a cause of upper airway obstruction in brachycephalic breeds. The most commonly affected dogs tend to be the smaller short-nose breeds, such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs and Boston Terriers. Signs to look out for include exercise intolerance, gagging and loud noisy breathing. BOAS surgery is routinely performed at Medivet Kensington by our surgeon, VK and aided by nurses who have undertaken additional training in anaesthesia.

Book an appointment with any of the vets to discuss whether your dog would benefit from the procedure.

  • Laparoscopic neutering

Laparoscopic neutering (key hole spay) involves making 2 small incisions to remove the ovaries. There are many studies showing significantly improved recovery times for dogs, with up to 65% less post operative pain. Peter and Tom routinely perform this surgery on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays at the Kensington practice.

  • Nutrition Consult

At Medivet Kensington we offer full nutritional assessments for cats and dogs, all
ages and conditions. These clinics are run by one of our registered nurses who

They added amounts to my bill, rude staff, charges 114 for the night but then don’t tell you that it’s another 114 pounds from midnight… add fees for “consultation “ of 71 pounds on top of 114 for basically doing nothing. It’s fair to say it’s theft in plein sight and poor dog owners are so worried for their babies they just caught up the cash.

I cannot put into words how extremely grateful I am for all the staff reception nurses vets at the emergency clinic. I have used the practice twice once at the end of my very old cats life and this week for an emergency for my kitten. He was so well looked after. I was so well looked after. All the staff are empathetic, caring but always professional too. Making sure I was kept informed and understood everything. Clyde and the cat and me are forever grateful

Never use them. They mismanaged the care of my dog that led to his early death which could have been prevented with better care! Avoid at all costs! UPDATE: They have replied asking me to contact them, but I already complained and their investigation didn't even focus on the points where they didn't act appropriately. I have had to go the VCMS to mediate in our period of mourning because they won't own their mistakes.

I can't say enough great things about this clinic! We are with Medivet Kensington from Pip's first consultation as a puppy and absolutely love this vet! The whole team is so kind and caring and we always feel welcome! A trip to the vet can be so stressful but we always get an appointment and help if we need it.
They always take the time to explain everything and make sure Pip feels comfortable and well cared for. A special shoutout of course to Dr Emma which Pip absolutely loves and is always happy to see! It’s clear that everyone here genuinely loves animals, and that makes all the difference.
The reception team is super friendly but also very efficient.
Highly recommend this clinic to any pet owner looking for top-notch care!

I highly recommend Dr. Clarisse! During my first visit, I was impressed by the level of care and compassion she showed, especially as we faced a difficult decision regarding Buddy, our springer spaniel. Dr. Clarisse was knowledgeable and took the time to ensure we fully understood our options, allowing us to make the best choice for our pet without feeling rushed. Her empathy and patience made a challenging situation much easier to navigate. The support staff at the clinic is equally responsive and helpful, contributing to a lovely atmosphere. I also appreciate that they offer 24-hour coverage, and my follow-up questions were answered promptly. Dr. Clarisse even called me back personally, which shows her genuine care for her patients. Overall, I am grateful for the outstanding care we received and highly recommend Dr. Clarisse to anyone seeking veterinary services!" Thank you so much . Photo of Buddy at the clinic .
