Very caring people. Came in under estimate to have teeth checked and cleaned for our cat Otto. They even washed the cat's blanket for us which had become soiled. Shame branch is merging with another further away.

Friendly Practice, I have used Winton Lodge since Fir tree Road had to close temporarily. Everyone I have encountered during my recent visits have being so kind & helpful especially with advice & answering all the questions I have had.

Still old fashioned courtesy, efficiency and GENUINE cat care despite now being part owned by a large chain of vets. Originally recommended to me by a local cat charity who have used their services for years and it is abundantly clear why.

It is my first pet visit and gives me an impressive visit. There is a lovely receptionist. I met Nicole, a vet. She is willing to answer all my questions. most of them I think are stupid, what she replied is very professional and informative.

Lovely practice and people. The vet we saw was very sweet with my nervous cat (and me!). Thank you!

If you're considering taking your animals to this practice, please be aware that any positive reviews more than a few months older are for what was essentially a completely different place (other than location obviously). Since being taken over by Medivet, the care and service here has plummeted while the prices have rocketed. Previously, when the practice was under Simon's leadership, he and Issi delivered incredible service and care, helping my wife not once but twice save our dog's life when she developed acute pancreatitis. Since Simon and his team have moved on and Medivet have put more of a corporate stamp on the place, it takes a week or more to get a reply to a simple email, you do not see the same vet, and more often than not the advice is something that will incur yet more cost. I cannot recommend this practice at all, which is a real shame as it used to be a wonderful place where pets were always put ahead of profit. Right now it feels like a business that is taking advantage of people's love for their animals. We will be looking elsewhere.

We took our Katie dachshund standard to be spayed we were really worried about her , when the surgeon took us in to explain what he was going to do he gave us confidence , he convinced us that Katie will be fine , and he was not wrong did a very professional job, well done and all the care nurses that looked after her after the operation.

Was seen almost immediately. Love the cat friendly shelving to keep baskets away from dogs. Vet was very caring and explained things clearly. Parking is always possible here though getting out again can be a challenge!

Been taking my dog here for 16 years. Now that Simon,Clare,Issy, and Zac have left and it has become Medivet it has gone completely downhill. There is no compassion anymore and it is all about charging more money. The new staff have a terrible hostile attitude and unfortunately we have made the decision to leave the vets now as they are just not providing the care or communication that my senior dog needs. I would no longer recommend. Such a shame as the previous staff were all amazing and I thank them for everything they’ve done.

We’ve been coming to Winton lodge for years now and have always been happy with their services until recently. To keep this review brief, I found my dog in a critical state and when I called in tears I was told they were fully booked. There have been numerous times I’ve been in the waiting room and been told my appointment will be delayed due to an emergency which I have always been happy to accommodate. My dog was not given that same treatment and I was told to “call somewhere else”. We did find another MediVet who told us “how could your local vet not make room for him, he is not in a fit state to travel.” My dog ended up needing emergency surgery and is still in critical condition. Winton lodge made the wrong call and it almost cost my dog’s life. They are great for average appointments but when it really matters, they failed. Given my dogs recent medical history and the fact he had been referred to a specialist weeks ago you’d think they might understand this was a genuine emergency. The staff here have always been so friendly and I’ve genuinely loved this practice and recommended it to many friends, which is why I am so surprised and disappointed in how they treated us. I feel bad posting a negative review here but I cannot forgive this oversight on their part. Take your pet somewhere where they don’t tell you to “call somewhere else”.
