Used to be an independent veterinary practice but now part of Medivet. The standard of care is very good.

Despite some confusion over where I was registered (I seem to have been moved to another vets while ownership changed - nothing to do with St Runwald's) they were able to see my injured chicken quickly. They treated her as a pet compared to my previous surgery (where my chickens were regarded as unimportant and it was usually suggested that I just put them down). I found them far more empathetic and informative than both the surgeries I used previously, and cannot thank them enough for their treatment of my girl. It's so hard to find a good vet that will even consider seeing chickens, and I'm very grateful to have found such an excellent one.

I’ve used this veterinary practice for many years. It’s very clean and well run. I trust the care and advice offered here from very experienced vets. Despite it just being a routine appointment, care and time was given plus some excellent advice on how to best care for my pet, now they are getting older.

Part of Medivet. Has become very expensive and only one vet on duty. Booked a week ago, still very busy and running very late leading to more stress on pet waiting room. No separation of cats and dogs.

Medivet Colchester Maldon Rd provided exceptional care during a recent emergency with our dog. When Bella needed a C-section and her puppies had no heartbeat during the ultrasound, the team, led by Kat and Chloe, went above and beyond to save them. Thanks to their expertise and dedication, all four puppies were revived. The entire team, including the nurses, displayed professionalism and genuine care throughout the ordeal. Kat's personal touch ensured Bella received the best possible outcome. We are immensely grateful for their outstanding service and commitment to our pet's well-being.

Since last visit in August 2023, practice has undergone significant changes to staff (no receptionists available today). The care my pet received much better than last year. However, the prices are becoming astronomical including £54 consultation fee on top of a blood test. I know we will do everything look after our pets but better transparency required please
