Veterinary Surgeon

I studied and graduated in Turkey in 2021. In my last year of university I worked with my brother who is also a veterinary surgeon in his small animal clinic. During my education I also studied in Germany for 1 year with the Erasmus program. After I graduated, I worked as an emergency veterinarian on night shifts and then I got an opportunity to work in UK as a veterinary surgeon in 2022 and have been practising in UK since. My love of animals started with our childhood border collie, Mico. Now I have 2 cats named Simba and Guccuk, that I took in as strays, even though they're 9, they're still my babies.

I qualified in 2013 after completing my apprenticeship at the practice. From a very young age I knew that I wanted to be a vet nurse, wanting to help and care for animals and their welfare. I feel really lucky to be doing a job that I love. My dog Vinny is a huge part of my life. My favourite thing is curling up with Vinny on the sofa with a film.

I've worked with many different pets, large and small. I have a handsome New Forest pony called Star, who I've had since he was three years old. I also have a Pomsky puppy called Wolfie, who has taught me a lot about raising a dog. I grew up with a lot of different pets which has given me my passion to care for all animals and to help their owners.

I joined Heene Road Vets in February 2000 as a receptionist and have been here ever since apart from a 2 year break. In this time I worked as a support worker which was rewarding but not quite as rewarding as being around the animals, and I did miss the team a lot! I have not regretted coming back to veterinary work and think I will still be here in another 20 years. During lock down I took in a lovely dog for 1 month as his owner was poorly. He is still with me and loves to come to work with me and sit under desks in the office waiting for treats, particularly Vet Eurico's desk! I am about to embark on an a new role from September 24 as Practice Manager for Worthing , Goring By Sea and Brighton branch and I am really looking forward to all the new challenges that await me .

I’ve been seeing veterinarian Yemisi for pet care, and every visit reaffirms just how exceptional her care is. When my dog Willow suffered three separate leg injuries and struggled with persistent allergies, Yemisi was there every step of the way. Her expertise and compassion shone through from our very first consultation, as she took the time to fully understand Willow’s complex issues. Yemisi’s commitment goes far beyond routine checkups. She provided detailed second opinions, ensuring I understood all available options and felt confident in the treatment plan. Her tailored approach not only addressed Willow’s immediate concerns but also helped set up a long-term strategy for her ongoing health. Every interaction was characterized by genuine care, patience, and a deep dedication to improving Willow’s quality of life. I am incredibly grateful for Yemisi’s expertise and would highly recommend her to any pet owner in need of outstanding veterinary care.

I am extremely disappointed with the service at Medivet. My dog has been suffering from an ear infection for over two months, and despite multiple visits, tests, and expensive fees, he has yet to receive proper treatment. • On my first visit, I paid a consultation fee and was given ear drops that did not work. • A month later, I returned, and they took an ear swab for lab testing—which I had to pay for separately. • When the lab results came back, I was charged another consultation fee, only to be told that the ear drops they originally prescribed were ineffective for my dog’s case. The vet gave me two options: either she would administer ear drops herself or prescribe a specific one for me to give at home. However, she did neither—she refused to apply them due to ear discharge, and the clinic did not even have the prescribed drops available, with no clear timeline on when they would arrive. The vet promised to call me by the end of the week with an update. When she didn’t, I called the clinic, only to be told she was busy and would call me back—which never happened. I called again and was informed that she had already left for the day and was off for an entire week without informing me or ensuring that another vet would handle my dog’s urgent case. This clinic has taken hundreds of pounds from me with zero improvement in my dog’s condition. The lack of communication, failure to follow through, and overall negligence in my pet’s care is unacceptable. It feels like they are more interested in taking money than actually helping animals. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone who values proper veterinary care and clear communication.

I love this practice. Mel and Aisha have been great and so accommodating of my anxious dog's needs. Today, I met the new vet, Yesimi, and she was fabulous. What a lovely, knowledgeable professional team.

What is there to say when your neighbours tell you of a lovely vets especially when you are in need of one. Phoned up, spoke to a friendly person and got booked in. Now my little friend is well and back to normal which makes both of us happy. All the staff are very kind and patient especially when you pull out your bus pass to pay!

My little dog was attacked recently which was traumatizing to say the least. The vet Yemesi (hope I got the spelling right) was brilliant, she was so calm and gave Sadie (and me!) the best possible care. Feeling very lucky to have such vetiverary brilliance close to home, thank you.
