I grew up in Egypt, where my love for animals started at a very young age. I always knew I wanted to become a vet, and that passion has guided my career ever since. I moved to the UK in 2023 and quickly fell in love with Brighton. It is such a welcoming city with a wonderful community, and I feel very fortunate to be working here. I began my career with a strong focus on emergency work, which helped me develop confidence in managing urgent and complex cases. Over time, I discovered that my true passion lies in general practice. I particularly enjoy consulting, working up cases thoroughly, and creating treatment plans that are carefully tailored to each pet and their owner.

I qualified in 2013 after completing my apprenticeship at the practice. From a very young age I knew that I wanted to be a vet nurse, wanting to help and care for animals and their welfare. I feel really lucky to be doing a job that I love. My dog Vinny is a huge part of my life. My favourite thing is curling up with Vinny on the sofa with a film.

Before joining Medivet Brighton, I had a varied career and also spent time helping with my mother in law’s cattery, which strengthened my love of working with animals. I’m lucky to be a Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) and part of such a compassionate and welfare focused team. Outside of work, you’ll find me walking my dachshund along the beach.

I recently visited Omar with my dog, and I genuinely cannot recommend him highly enough. From the moment we arrived, he made both of us feel comfortable and welcomed. It’s clear straight away that he truly cares about animals and the people who bring them in. His calm and friendly manner immediately put my dog at ease, which made the whole visit far less stressful than I expected. What really stood out to me was how thorough and attentive he was during the consultation. He took the time to carefully examine my dog, explain what he was checking for, and answer every question I had without ever making me feel rushed. It’s rare to find someone who combines such professional knowledge with such a warm and compassionate personality. Omar has a lovely character and a natural way with animals. My dog can sometimes be nervous at the vet, but he handled her so gently and patiently that she relaxed very quickly. You could tell he genuinely enjoys working with animals and wants the best for them. He also explained everything very clearly from the diagnosis to the treatment plan —which gave me a lot of confidence and peace of mind. It’s reassuring to know that your pet is in the hands of someone who is not only highly skilled but also truly kind and caring. Thanks to medivet expertise and care, my dog is now doing much better, and I’m incredibly grateful. If you’re looking for a vet who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely dedicated to helping animals, I would highly recommend Omar. He is an amazing vet and a wonderful person, and I’m so thankful for the care he provided.

The vet was absolutely fantastic and took great care with our kitten. This gave us lots of reassurance as it was her first time at the vets. The two people at reception were very friendly and provided excellent service

All the staff, vet and NURSE were wonderful. My poor little man, Ralph who's a 91/2 year old Frug had a hard lump between his toes, it has cost a fortune in tests and making sure it wasn't sinister, but finally he's had it removed and it was quite large.....if you've ever had a stone in your shoe you can ima

The practice in Brighton is really welcoming in its clean and fresh environment. What really makes it stand out, however, is the friendliness and care exhibited by the staff: both receptionists and the vet I’d seen, Eurike. My cat and I were well looked after and made to feel at ease.
