Veterinary Surgeon

I studied and graduated in Turkey in 2021. In my last year of university I worked with my brother who is also a veterinary surgeon in his small animal clinic. During my education I also studied in Germany for 1 year with the Erasmus program. After I graduated, I worked as an emergency veterinarian on night shifts and then I got an opportunity to work in UK as a veterinary surgeon in 2022 and have been practising in UK since. My love of animals started with our childhood border collie, Mico. Now I have 2 cats named Simba and Guccuk, that I took in as strays, even though they're 9, they're still my babies.

I qualified in 2013 after completing my apprenticeship at the practice. From a very young age I knew that I wanted to be a vet nurse, wanting to help and care for animals and their welfare. I feel really lucky to be doing a job that I love. My dog Vinny is a huge part of my life. My favourite thing is curling up with Vinny on the sofa with a film.

I've worked with many different pets, large and small. I have a handsome New Forest pony called Star, who I've had since he was three years old. I also have a Pomsky puppy called Wolfie, who has taught me a lot about raising a dog. I grew up with a lot of different pets which has given me my passion to care for all animals and to help their owners.

My cat was left screaming and howling in pain everyday for 10mths here. He came in initially for blood in his pee... Just given antibiotics that didn't work... No bladder tests or X-rays... 1500 pounds later, and a cat that would run away from me every time he saw me thinking I was going to try and give him more tablets ... He had a bladder stone. This was found when I look him to a different vets in desperation. He's stone was found with the first day, and his operation was carried out that afternoon. He's been fine ever since. Henry was the vet that saw him, with all the others and no one thought to investigate further. I made a complaint and asked for my money back and they have been arse holes .... And just ignore my complaints. I wouldn't waste your money - coastways medical centre for animals is in Brighton Kempton. They have the best facilities, and many very impressive staff. Not one person, trying to cover for another person when the Saturday vet is sick etc. Henry even told me himself that he had got fixated that it was cystitis... But, he didn't look for anything that may have been causing it .. my cat was only four at the time. Just a joke. Vets are expensive. Best to use the best when they are just down the road from them Update... Staff amazin, reception, and nurse.. Just concerned that they have taken on too many pets. Been impossible to get a conversation with a vet!!! ... That needs addressing urgently. Update Not that impressed anymore. My cat still ill, Wee i provided over several months claimed contaminated. Then he was caged to get wee.. Vet didnt call back for weeks . So now saying i need to do it all again.. So ive been paying 50pounds per week for specialized food.. and painkillers .. For 9mths now. So im not impressed anymore. --------------------------------------------------------- There is a shortage of vets too .. in Brighton! I had to ring three places to find a vet taking on new pets .. My cat was peeing blood... Was very scary. The service i received was outstanding. An im not an easy customer when stressed... I got a cancellation appt, but, they would have made an emergency spot if i needed it . They are not currently charging a consultation fee - saving you 35 pounds.. The vet even called me back after hours to let me know my cats urine results.. This was really special. I recommend this vets 5* They also recommended buying some meds online as cheaper. What more could you ask for.. Im very impressed. And alfie is much happier 😸

What is there to say when your neighbours tell you of a lovely vets especially when you are in need of one. Phoned up, spoke to a friendly person and got booked in. Now my little friend is well and back to normal which makes both of us happy. All the staff are very kind and patient especially when you pull out your bus pass to pay!

Great service from the vet and the whole team. Just shame there isn’t a separate waiting area for cats and dogs! Can be quite scary for kittens/ small animals when there’s large dogs barking

What a wonderful team , beautiful Spanish vet and Beautiful nurse Tina are second to none . They came out to booster my 3 naughty girls , who run a mile when they see the cat basket! As I live very near the vets ,they went the extra mile to come out and vaccinated them at home . I am very grateful for their kind empathy and support. I am glad I have found the perfect vetinary practice! Thank you both your are stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Phillip Stevens X

Rachel and all the staff at Medivet are lovely. Rachel particularly has gone above and beyond to support me with my Cat Xerces in the past. He is always very well looked after. Every vet is lovely and attentive and you can tell that they care about animals here. 😸
