Lead Veterinary Surgeon

I’ve been the lead vet here since August 2017. I graduated from Lisbon Technical University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, then completed an internship at Hannover University's School of Veterinary Medicine before starting to work in practice in the UK. Over the years I’ve developed an interest in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, and in December 2016, obtained the BSAVA's Post Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Surgery. I’m passionate about research into veterinary medicine and surgery and strive to offer the best advice and care available to my patients. Outside of work, I live in Lincolnshire with my wife, who is also a veterinary surgeon, and my two daughters.

We have been bringing Ralph here since he was 8 weeks old, however in July we rushed him to an emergency vets whilst away on holiday, when we were back we brought him to see our regular vets only to be told every time “Cockapoo’s are wimps”, we were back every 4-6 weeks with the same issue with his paws, to be told the same thing every time “possibly allergies” “cockapoos are wimps” and for him to be pumped with steroids or monthly injections which clearly weren’t working, fast forward to December and this is still an issue… Ralph has now chewed off his paw pad completely, so we had to go to another vets practice as ours couldn’t see him, they carried out biopsies and x-rays only to find out he has a severe case of dermatitis and an infection which has been there a while… oh and a £2k vets bill! If this was done months ago, my dog wouldn’t have chewed his paw pad off, it would have been treated! I am honestly disappointed and annoyed it has got to this, as my dog was clearly in pain and discomfort for months.

Friendly, professional and caring. All the staff were very good and helpful. Their love for animals was obvious and my dog couldnt have been treated any better.

Medivet have killed this dog. Against a court order. Medivet are not ethical, do not care nor are fit to be allowed to practice. Boycott this murderous practice and take your pets elsewhere. Medivet are part of the cartel pushing up vets fees for greed. Veterinary greed is the single biggest contributor to pet killings.
