Introducing a new puppy or kitten into your family is an exciting time for everybody, especially in the current climate when more of the family may be home and looking to participate. As exciting as it is, you will no doubt have many questions about how you can get off to the right start, we are here to help.
Our vet or veterinary nurse will carry out a full nose-to-tail examination to make sure your pet is in the best possible health. This will involve checking your pet’s:
During the consultation, we will be happy to offer you practical advice on a wide range of topics and answer any questions that you may have. This will include pet insurance, vaccinations (including the Medivet Healthcare Plan), socialisation, nutrition, flea and worming treatments and anything that will be involved in settling them in.
We will also weigh your pet – as this is important for us to advise you how much you should be feeding them.

Complimentary puppy or kitten consultations are subject to availability and include advice from our Vet or Nurse on managing a new pet, this will include tailored advice on your pet’s preventative healthcare needs. One complimentary puppy or kitten consultation per pet, limited to two pets per client. Pets must be under 1 year of age. This offer is not valid for pre-existing conditions. Any treatment, further tests, or examinations required will be charged at the standard rate. Medivet reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time without prior notice. For breeders or owners with new litters, please contact the clinic.
