Enhanced Care for Pets with New Theatre at Medivet Laindon

Its arrival, along with the addition of new technical equipment, will allow the team to offer better care to pets in need of more complicated medical and surgical treatment.

Medivet Laindon Branch Partner and Veterinary Surgeon Dr Antonis Dimitriou commented: “This is an exciting time for us. The air-conditioned theatre has a state-of-the-art operating table which, along with our investment in other new technical equipment, will allow us to extend our internal and external surgical case load.”

“One piece of kit worth mentioning which significantly elevates our standard of care is the multiparameter monitor”, he added. “This provides multiple strands of information about a patient’s condition on one screen - including ECG (electrocardiogram), CO2, blood pressure and oxygen readings, as well as respirator and heart-rate levels. It is important as it will enable us to intervene early, if required, and better control patients under anaesthesia.”

Earlier in the year, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) recognised the local practice with an exceptional accreditation rating for its client service.
